# Configuring QuickBooks for Integration with ARTERNAL

Before integrating QuickBooks with ARTERNAL, a few key settings in your QuickBooks account must be configured. Follow these steps to ensure QuickBooks is ready to sync with ARTERNAL:

## **Settings to Update in QuickBooks:**

1. **Shipping** must be turned ON.

2. **Custom transaction numbers** must be turned OFF.

3. Ensure your account is set up to use **Sales Tax**.

## **Step-by-Step Instructions:**

1. **Access Account Settings**:
   - In QuickBooks Online, click the **Settings** icon in the top-right corner.

2. **Turn Shipping ON and Custom Transaction Numbers OFF**:
   - Click on **Account and Settings** from the dropdown menu.

- In the settings page, ensure **Shipping** is toggled ON and **Custom transaction numbers** is toggled OFF.

3. **Enable Sales Tax**:
   - In the left-hand menu of QuickBooks, click on the **Taxes** section.
   - Follow the prompts to set up **Sales Tax** if it’s not already enabled.
