# Expense Overview

To view the Expense Overview associated with the artwork, you would need to specify how the artwork was obtained. The two options would be either by **Retail**, or by **Consignment**.

1. **A. Retail vs Consignment**

If the artwork purchase type was **Retail**, then it was bought directly from the seller. You can select the **Retail** option > **Confirm** to record this.

If the purchase type was **Consignment**, then the artwork was obtained from a “middle-man”, or a gallery who sold the artwork on behalf of the original seller. To record this, select **Consignment** > **Confirm.**
