ARTERNAL allows users to create custom fields in the **Inventory** section to better document and organize artwork information. Here's how to set up and manage custom fields for your inventory.

## Step 1: Create a New Custom Field

- Navigate to **Settings > Organization > Custom Fields > Inventory**.

## Step 2: Add Field Details

- Click **\+ New Field** and, in the prompt, enter the **field name** and an optional **description**.
- Select a **field type** and **field group**, then choose whether other users can edit this field.
- After filling out the prompt, click **Create Field**.

## Step 3: View Your Custom Field

- Refresh the page, go to any inventory, and scroll down to the **Custom Fields** section. Your newly created field will appear.

## Step 4: Edit or Archive Custom Fields

- To edit or archive existing fields, go to **Settings > Custom Fields > Inventory**. Click on any field to make changes.

- To recover archived fields, click the **Archived** tab and restore fields from there.

- To search using custom fields, go to **Inventory > Filters**, select the custom field, and search within the filter.
