How to sync contacts with MailChimp

Step 1: Access Contact Sync Integration

1. Click on your User Profile in ARTERNAL, then select Settings.

2. Navigate to Account > Integrations > Contact Sync Integration.

Step 2: Import Contacts from MailChimp to ARTERNAL

1. On the Contact Sync page, click Import Contacts.

2. In the pop-up window, choose the MailChimp audience you want to import into ARTERNAL and click Import.

Important Notes for Importing:

• Duplicate Emails: ARTERNAL will not import contacts with duplicate email addresses (i.e., if the same email already exists in ARTERNAL).
• Data Integrity: Your existing contact data in ARTERNAL will never be replaced during the import process.

Step 3: Export Contacts from ARTERNAL to MailChimp

You have two options for exporting contacts to MailChimp: exporting all contacts or exporting a specific contact list.

a) Export All Contacts:

1. Click Export to MailChimp.
2. Select the MailChimp audience where you want the contacts to go, and click Export.

b) Export a Contact List:

1. Click Export List to MailChimp.

2. In the pop-up window, choose the specific list you want to export.

3. Select the MailChimp audience where you'd like the contacts to go, and click Export.

Important Notes for Exporting:

• Duplicate Emails: ARTERNAL will not export contacts with duplicate email addresses (i.e., if the same email already exists in MailChimp).
• Missing Emails: Contacts without an email address in ARTERNAL will not be exported.
• Data Integrity: Your contact data will not be replaced during the export process.
